2026-05-16Riyadh Region Municipality has begun implementing engineering works to develop and improve the intersection of Sultanah Road with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Road in Sultanah District, within the Municipality’s western sector in Riyadh. This comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the road network and improve traffic flow within residential neighborhoods.
The works include increasing the capacity of Sultanah Road and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Road by implementing two traffic lanes in each direction, in addition to U-turns on both roads. The project also includes regulating traffic movement at the intersection by adding a traffic signal equipped with the latest systems and managing its operation in line with traffic density. The development works aim to enhance connectivity between local roads and main corridors, contributing to improving the daily experience of Sultanah District residents.
Riyadh Region Municipality continues to carry out engineering improvements across various neighborhoods of the city as part of its plans to enhance quality of life and develop the urban landscape, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to build cities that are more sustainable and efficient in services and infrastructure.
