His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh Region, has launched the “Riyadh Memory” project — a comprehensive and pioneering initiative that documents the architecture and urban landmarks that shaped the identity of the capital during the second half of the twentieth century. The project highlights the city’s social and urban development stages, supporting the municipality’s efforts to preserve architectural heritage and enhance the cultural identity of Riyadh.

Between July and October 2025, the Riyadh Municipality carried out road marking works totaling approximately two million linear meters as part of its programs to improve road quality and enhance traffic safety in the capital.

The virtual opening of the 61st World Urban Planning Congresswas launched today, organized by the Riyadh Municipality in cooperation with the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP). The event was attended by a distinguished group of experts and urban planners from various countries around the world, paving the way for the global conference of the society to be held in the capital next month.

Riyadh Municipality has achieved sixth place among government entities in the Innovation Stage of the 2025 Digital Transformation Index launched by the Digital Government Authority, affirming its progress in developing digital services and adopting modern technologies that enhance user experience and improve municipal performance efficiency.
