His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Region, patronized the annual ceremony for the employees of Riyadh Region Municipality, which was held at King Abdullah Park, in the presence of the Municipality’s leaders and employees from various sectors and departments.
His Highness affirmed that the annual gathering of the Municipality’s employees represents an important occasion to strengthen communication among work teams, appreciate efforts, and meet away from the pressures of daily work. He noted that this year’s ceremony was linked to the Riyadh Region Municipality’s Municipal Transformation Program. In this context, His Highness explained that the launch of the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program came as the culmination of efforts extending over more than two years, with the participation of the Municipality’s employees across its various sectors and teams. He emphasized that the project represents a reshaping of the vital municipal apparatus that directly affects residents’ lives and serves them in the details of their daily routines.
His Highness pointed out that the Municipality’s structure was designed during a phase that differs from Riyadh’s current reality in terms of population size, the scale of active entities, and the city’s ambitions. This made the current stage appropriate for strategically restructuring it in a way that takes into account the needs of the city and its residents. He explained that the transformation covered three main levels: the strategic level represented by the agencies, the executive level represented by the sectors, and the representative level represented by the “My City” offices, enabling each organizational unit to focus on its role and enhance the quality of its performance.
His Highness concluded his speech by affirming that the Municipality’s employees work in a city with high ambition and significant economic, social, and political standing, under a wise leadership that has placed Riyadh among its top priorities, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister — may Allah protect them both.
During the ceremony, His Highness honored the municipal transformation tracks and toured a number of accompanying pavilions, including the “Waai” platform and the “Customer Experience” booth. He listened to a briefing on the most prominent services, latest technologies, and equipment on display, as well as their role in supporting the Municipality’s work and enhancing the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness took a group photo with the teams participating in the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program.
