Riyadh Municipality, represented by its city sectors, implemented five community meetings under the “Community Halls” initiative, with the participation of residents across the capital. This initiative aims to strengthen direct communication with the community and to listen to residents’ needs and development suggestions, contributing to service improvement and enhancing quality of life in the city.
The meetings covered neighborhoods across central, northern, southern, western, and eastern Riyadh. They were held in “My City Offices,” with the participation of sector leaders from the municipality. Discussions focused on various service-related topics and neighborhood needs, alongside reviewing development plans and gathering residents’ feedback and suggestions for improving public services and facilities.
The sessions addressed several key issues, including roads, traffic safety, urban environment, and public amenities. They also introduced community-driven initiatives that encourage the participation of residents, non-profit organizations, and productive families in supporting neighborhood activities, ultimately enhancing daily services and improving the overall resident experience.
The meetings witnessed strong engagement from residents, who presented a range of observations and development proposals. Participants emphasized the importance of continuing such direct engagements to strengthen communication between the community and the municipal sector, accelerate the resolution of challenges, and improve service quality.
