2026-04-16A delegation from the Riyadh Municipality has received the city’s membership in the ISOCARP for a period of three years, during an official visit to the organization’s headquarters in The Hague. This step strengthens Riyadh’s presence within the international urban planning network.
The visit came in response to an invitation from the organization, during which the head of the delegation, Eng. Saleh Al-Saif, Assistant Deputy Mayor, officially received the membership.
The visit also included specialized discussion sessions addressing urban transformation and the exchange of planning knowledge, in addition to field visits to a number of leading urban development projects in the Netherlands. These activities provided an opportunity to explore international best practices and exchange expertise in urban planning and city development.
This participation reflects Riyadh’s growing role as an active partner in shaping future cities and reinforces its position within global platforms focused on urban planning and knowledge exchange.
