2026-04-16Riyadh Municipality has begun implementing engineering improvements at several key intersections in the western and southern sectors, as part of its efforts to develop the road network and enhance traffic efficiency across the capital.
The works include the intersection of Ali bin Shiban Street with Sufyan bin Al-Hakam Street in Al-Awali district, as well as the intersection of Ibn Majah Road with Jabal Al-Rahmah Street in Al-Sulay district.
These improvements aim to enhance intersection performance and organize traffic flow in a way that improves mobility, increases connectivity between local roads and main corridors in the area, and supports road user safety. Additionally, the project seeks to improve the daily commuting experience for residents of these neighborhoods.
These interventions are part of a broader program to engineer and upgrade several intersections across Riyadh, relying on engineering solutions that help reduce traffic congestion and improve the efficiency of the road network within neighborhoods. This aligns with the city’s urban growth and enhances the overall efficiency of transportation infrastructure in the capital.
Riyadh Municipality continues to implement engineering improvements across various districts of the city, supporting urban development goals and enhancing quality of life, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Municipality’s vision to build a prosperous and sustainable city that delivers high-quality services to its residents.
