2026-01-18Riyadh Municipality has fully opened the Al-Haer Road bridge at its intersection with Wadi Hanifah, as part of projects to enhance the road network and improve traffic efficiency in the south of the capital.
The project included constructing a 170-meter-long, 15-meter-wide bridge with four traffic lanes, in addition to upgrading AlHaer Road to improve traffic flow. It also involved developing a service road from the AlGhannamiyahneighborhood to connect residents to Al-Haer Road via the bridge, enhancing accessibility and connectivity between neighboring districts.
The project contributes to improving road safety, enhancing traffic smoothness, and reducing conflict points, while ensuring that rising water levels in Wadi Hanifah do not affect vehicle movement on the bridge—thereby supporting uninterrupted traffic flow.
The opening of this bridge coincides with the operation of the Al-Ghannamiyah neighborhood bridge, strengthening traffic connectivity with the Al-Haer Road bridge and supporting integrated movement along this corridor.
These works are part of Riyadh Municipality’s broader efforts to develop road networks in support of urban development and improved quality of life, in line with its vision to be a leading municipality for a prosperous and sustainable Riyadh that elevates quality of life, and its mission to advance the city through sustainable urban development, high-quality services, and effective partnerships toward a vibrant community.
