H.R.H. Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Municipality, met with H.E. the Governor of Tashkent, Mirzayev Zuvir Tayirovich, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to strengthen avenues of mutual cooperation and exchange expertise in urban development and landmark projects.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed Saudi Vision 2030 and its impacts on several areas, including infrastructure development and the urban renaissance underway in the capital, Riyadh. The discussions also highlighted major ongoing projects and Riyadh’s capacity to host and organize global events in the coming years, such as Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034.

The meeting further addressed the establishment of a joint working team to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practices between Riyadh and Tashkent.

For its part, the Uzbek delegation praised the rapid transformation witnessed in Riyadh and expressed their aspiration to open new horizons for bilateral cooperation that would serve the ambitions of both cities in technological advancement and urban investment.
