2025-11-26Riyadh Municipality, represented by the Western Sector of the city, held the first community hall meeting at the My City Office in the Dhaharat Laban neighborhood, with the participation of residents and development partners. The meeting was attended by the CEO of the sector, Eng. Abdullah Al-Madhi, the Deputy CEO, Eng. Khalaf Al-Dalabahi, along with several sector leaders.
The meeting featured discussions on the needs and aspirations of residents through their representatives, in addition to reviewing Riyadh Municipality’s plans to develop the Western Sector and enhance its services—reflecting the Municipality’s commitment to strengthening community engagement and building partnerships that contribute to improving quality of life in the city.
During the session, resident representatives expressed their appreciation for the pioneering role of Riyadh Municipality in launching the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program, which has reinforced the principle of community participation and strengthened communication between the community and the municipal sector. They also voiced satisfaction with the rapid response to feedback and development initiatives, as well as the ongoing efforts to enhance daily services and improve comfort levels within neighborhoods.
Residents also highlighted the importance of joint efforts to address sector-related issues such as roads and traffic safety, in addition to emphasizing the continuation of municipal development projects, neighborhood humanization initiatives, expansion of green areas and pedestrian pathways, and transforming valley overlooks into open urban spaces that offer improved environments for residents, along with enhancing monitoring to ensure sustainable solutions.
Representatives of persons with disabilities expressed their appreciation for the Municipality’s efforts in improving accessible facilities and services, stressing the importance of increasing events and activities designed for them to enhance their quality of life and support their inclusion in the community.
The CEO of the Western Sector affirmed the Municipality’s commitment to continuing such meetings, noting the readiness of community halls in My City Offices to receive residents and partners from various sectors, host initiatives, and deliver community activities—supported by the wide range of public facilities available within the sector.
