Riyadh Municipality is participating in the BIG 5 GLOBAL exhibition in Dubai as a Supporting Regional Partner, reflecting its ongoing efforts in urban development and enhancing the capital’s presence on regional construction and building platforms.

The exhibition, held from 24–27 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, brings together leaders and experts from various sectors focused on the future of cities.

On the opening day, the Municipality will deliver a keynote address presented by Eng. Waleed Al-Akrash, Riyadh Municipality’s Deputy for Projects. The speech will highlight key themes including the development of the urban environment, the role of flagship projects in improving quality of life, and the evolving pathways of infrastructure transformation and its alignment with urban development goals.

The exhibition will also include a panel discussion titled “Cities that Foster Belonging and Community Connectivity,” presented by Eng. Nasser Al-Wadaie, focusing on designing cities around people’s daily needs—such as creating spaces that enhance residents’ well-being and strengthen their sense of belonging. The session will also shed light on the impact of parks and public squares in improving lifestyle quality and will emphasize the notion that genuine urban development is founded on investing in time and the quality of the urban experience.

Additionally, the Municipality will take part in a specialized session on geospatial governance and spatial data, presented by Eng. Eid bin Saad Al-Otaibi, discussing the role of data in supporting urban planning, enhancing decision-making efficiency, and strengthening integration between entities to meet the evolving demands of modern city management.
