His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayaaf, Secretary of Riyadh Municipality, inaugurated today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the “Foodsphere” Al-Tahliyah Oasis, marking the first phase in the Riyadh Oasis Activation Program. This project is part of Riyadh Municipality’s plans, in cooperation with Riyadh Holding Company, to create interactive urban spaces that serve as scientific and educational destinations combining learning and entertainment to strengthen community partnerships with residents.

The oasis is located on Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street (Al-Tahliyah) and celebrates Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage related to food. It offers an exceptional experience to explore new horizons in the world of food, learn about the future of food innovation, and understand the fundamental connections shaping our food system and the city’s sustainable future aligned with its deep heritage. This is achieved through innovative and interactive workshops.

Al-Tahliyah Oasis aims to revive Saudi food heritage through an interactive space where visitors explore the interconnected relationships between food, heritage, and sustainability, blending traditional nutrition culture with the latest advanced food concepts.

The oasis covers more than 11,000 square meters and includes three indoor zones:

• The Apiary: Explore the world of bees and honey, their role in pollination, and the cultural importance of honey.

• A space celebrating dates and coffee, symbols of Saudi hospitality, offering a cultural and flavor-rich experience.

• The Vital Zone: Visitors can observe butterflies and enter a living environment showcasing innovations in food security.

The outdoor areas feature walking paths, green spaces, cafes, and restaurants that reflect the Kingdom’s cultural identity and enrich the experience for residents and visitors.

The Riyadh Oasis project, located in several neighborhoods across the city, is a forward-looking initiative with an operational methodology and institutional system designed to ensure excellence and leadership. It serves as an educational and entertainment hub providing fundamental sciences for all community sectors, stimulating creativity, enhancing entrepreneurship in science applications, and based on partnerships with various entities to develop advanced practical models.

The Riyadh Oasis project holds significant importance for the city, aiming to enhance quality of life in the capital by providing an environment that combines education and entertainment, making Riyadh a destination for exploration and innovation culture for all community segments.

Aligned with the Quality of Life Program—a key pillar of Vision 2030—the oases symbolize Riyadh’s commitment to balancing tradition and modernity, offering a glimpse into the future of urban living while preserving the city’s rich cultural heritage.

The project includes eight oases to be opened over the coming years across Riyadh’s neighborhoods, designed to maximize impact and serve as vibrant social, cultural, and educational hubs in various districts.

The oasis welcomes visitors from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on February 26 and 27 and will remain open throughout Ramadan from 8:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Tickets are now available for purchase, and more details can be found at:
