Prince Faisal bin Bandar: Riyadh mega projects make a modern and attractive international city

H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, received yesterday at Ruling Palace the Chairman and members of Municipal Council of Riyadh.

At the beginning, His Highness welcomed the attendance, pointing out the importance of the role of municipal council and the many tasks it performs in the interest of the homeland and the citizen.

Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Aridi, Chairman of Riyadh Municipal Council, thanked Governor of Riyadh for giving the opportunity to brief H.H. on the Municipal Council works and its future aspirations to hand over a number of the Council's publications, most notably the final report of 2018 and the operational plan for 2019.

Prince Faysal bin Bandar was briefed through presentation by Chairman of the Council, Khaled Al-Aridi, on activities and tasks accomplished by the Council, in addition to activities focused on highlighting the role of citizen in development of municipal services ,and a review of proposed development initiatives, such as improving gates of Riyadh and its entrances, Al Tumama street , and private sector involvement in public parks. In addition to submitting a special report on citizens' and council's observations on municipal services.

The presentation was followed by a speech by His Highness Governor of Riyadh Region, in which H.H. stressed that city of Riyadh glorifies the mega projects launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and makes it a modern and attractive international city. The coming days will require hard work and activity in line with the ambitious vision of H.R.H. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

His Highness praised the Council's active role in developing municipal services for citizens and residents, stressing that Council's good steps towards achieving effective communication with citizens and deepening their participation in the development of services to achieve progress and prosperity for Riyadh City.
