Riyadh Municipality Approves 19 Residential Plans in 2024
Riyadh Municipality has continued implementing its strategies to boost real estate supply and regulate real estate transactions, ensuring sustainable development and market balance. In 2024, the municipality approved 19 new residential plans with a total area of approximately 13,522,478 square meters, contributing to the provision of more than 17,000 diverse housing units.
The real estate supply included 14,897 villa units and 2,460 units within residential buildings, reflecting the municipality's commitment to meeting the needs of various social segments by offering diverse and suitable housing options. This initiative is part of the municipality’s efforts to provide a sustainable residential environment that enhances the quality of life and meets the demands of urban expansion.
Additionally, the municipality issued 18,248 building permits during the same year, including 15,346 residential permits, alongside commercial, industrial, and government permits, accelerating urban development processes and strengthening the role of the private sector in supporting growth.
The municipality also focused on optimizing land utilization through merging and subdividing plots. As a result, the number of land plots increased from 6,909 to 9,056, expanding the scope of real estate projects to meet growing demand.
Notably, these efforts reflect Riyadh Municipality’s commitment to the city’s development and sustainability, contributing to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing the quality of life, developing infrastructure, and promoting investment opportunities in the real estate sector.
