2025-05-28Riyadh Municipality has announced the opening of volunteer opportunities under the “One-Third of the Sacrifice” initiative, inviting those interested to register through the National Volunteer Platform. This initiative aligns with the municipality’s efforts to promote a culture of volunteerism and community service during the Eid al-Adha season of 1446 H.
The initiative will run from June 5 to June 8, 2025, with two daily volunteer shifts: the first at 7:00 AM and the second at 1:00 PM, allowing participants the flexibility to choose a suitable time to contribute to the initiative’s activities.
Volunteer opportunities will be available across six main service locations: the Automated Slaughterhouse, Al-Aziziyah Slaughterhouse, West Riyadh Slaughterhouse, Al-Marwah Slaughterhouse, Al-Munsiyah Slaughterhouse, and North Riyadh Slaughterhouse. Volunteers will assist with organization, distribution, and supporting beneficiaries, helping streamline procedures and ensure efficient service delivery.
The “One-Third of the Sacrifice” initiative is a social program implemented by the municipality in collaboration with various charitable organizations. It aims to maximize the benefit of sacrificial meat and ensure its fair and organized distribution to eligible recipients. The initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to social responsibility and its role in serving the community during festive seasons.
This initiative is part of Riyadh Municipality’s broader strategy to empower volunteer work and strengthen community partnerships, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030—particularly regarding social responsibility and the integration of public and civic efforts in serving the community during religious occasions.
