New Murabba Project in Riyadh is one of the landmark initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030. It is located northwest of Riyadh at the intersection of King Salman and King Khalid Roads, covering an area of more than 19 square kilometers with a built-up area exceeding 25 million square meters. The project includes 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, approximately 980,000 square meters of commercial space, and 1.4 million square meters of office space, along with 620,000 square meters of entertainment facilities and 1.8 million square meters of community facilities. At the heart of the project stands a unique architectural landmark known as “The Mukaab”, measuring 400 meters in height, width, and length. It combines traditional Najdi architectural style with advanced digital technologies such as holograms. The project emphasizes sustainability, with energy-efficient buildings, renewable energy systems, and the use of artificial intelligence in city management to ensure operational efficiency and enhance quality of life. It also features cultural and educational facilities, including an innovative museum, a specialized university, and a multi-purpose theater, in addition to more than 80 venues for exhibitions and entertainment. The New Murabba Project is expected to contribute up to SAR 180 billion to the non-oil GDP and create around 334,000 jobs. It will also enhance quality of life by providing green spaces and pedestrian pathways. The project is scheduled for completion by 2030, becoming a prominent urban landmark in the Kingdom.
