Riyadh Municipality carried out a field campaign in a number of northern districts of the capital to remove illegal camps, in cooperation with partner agencies, as part of its efforts to regulate land use and improve the urban environment of the city.
The campaign covered the neighborhoods of Al-Aarid, Al-Qirawan, Al-Khair, and Banban, in addition to King Fahd Road and Salbukh Road. Violators were notified, and 111 non-compliant and unauthorized sites were removed. Moreover, 34 livestock fences were confiscated, and two unlicensed slaughterhouses were demolished in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Riyadh Municipality continues its joint campaigns with partner entities to control violations and promote the organized use of open spaces, in line with its vision of achieving sustainable urban development and providing high-quality services that enhance quality of life toward a vibrant society.
