Al Draih Sub-Municipality

1- Establishment and History: The establishment of the Diriyah Municipality was in the beginning of 1392 AH, and the of Diriyah Municipality building was established on an area of 7000 square meters to accommodate the various administrative departments in that period. The presidency of the municipality was assumed by: 1- Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Nashmi from 1392 AH to 1398 AH 2 - Ali bin Abdullah Al-Amiri from 1398 AH to 1400 AH 3- Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Saab, from 1400 AH to 1402 AH 4 - Suleiman Al-Sultan from 1402 AH to 1402 AH 5- Saleh bin Hamad Al-Nasser from 1402 AH to 1413 AH 6 - m. Hassan bin Abdul Rahman Al Sheikh from 1413 AH to 1422 AH 7 - Dr. Musaed bin Abdullah Al-Musnad from 1422 AH until Rabi` Al-Akhar 1427 AH 8 - m. Abdullah bin Ghobash Al-Anzi from Rabi` Al-Akher 1427 AH until Ramadan 1427 AH 9 - m. Adel bin Abdullah Al-Salem, from Shawwal 1427 AH until Shawwal 1439 AH 10 pm. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Haqbani from Dhu al-Qa`dah 1439 AH until now 2- The geographical location of the city: It is located in the middle of the Arabian Peninsula between latitudes 24.6-25.1 degrees north and longitudes 46-26.5 degrees east over a hilly area that forms part of the Greater Najd Plateau and at an altitude ranging between 650-1000 meters from sea level. The governorate is distinguished by location Northwest of the city of Riyadh,and its dwellings are distributed on Wadi Hanifa and Rwafdh between Ghusayba in the north and Mulibid in the south, and its ancient wall surrounds it with its fortifications and mud towers.The most important places that separate between Rwafdh and Wadi Hanifa: Al-Malqa, Dabous, Al-Alb, Ghusaybah, Nadira, Al-Salmani, Al-Rafaia, Samhan and Shuaib Kala, Al-Qurain and Al-Turaif. 3- The urban scope of the municipality: - North: the borders of Huraymila governorate. - South: Shuaib Al-Mughtara. East: King Khalid Road. - West: the borders of Dhurma governorate. 4- Area: The area of Diriyah Governorate is about 2016 square kilometers, representing about 0.54% of the total area of Riyadh. 5- Population: The population of the province has reached more than (100,000) one hundred thousand people. 6- The number of centers and villages served by the municipal apparatus: (2) which are Al-Amariya and its authority.
