Riyadh Municipality, in collaboration with the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), has expanded its efforts by deploying Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) across Riyadh’s parks and public facilities. This initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability by encouraging positive recycling behaviors, reducing waste volume, and lowering carbon emissions.

These machines serve as a practical model for supporting the circular economy, contributing to the conversion of waste into recyclable resources while providing smart and sustainable waste management solutions, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

The recycling machines were showcased by SIRC during the inauguration of Riyadh’s new parks, attended by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, where 25 new parks were inaugurated in the city.

This initiative reflects Riyadh Municipality’s commitment to the Saudi Green Initiative and its continuous efforts to improve quality of life through the implementation of sustainable environmental projects. It also forms part of the Municipality’s strategy to strengthen strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable development and enhance the role of the private sector in improving the urban environment.
