Riyadh Municipality has renewed its invitation to individuals, volunteer teams, government entities, and nonprofit organizations to participate in the second edition of the “Azwah” Award for Community Participation in the Municipal Sector 2026. Participants are encouraged to showcase their outstanding community initiatives and experiences and compete for cash prizes totaling up to SAR 530,000.
The award features a competitive category comprising four tracks: Municipal Volunteering, Community Initiatives, Social Responsibility, and Cultural Participation. It also includes an honorary category recognizing the Exemplary Citizen and Exemplary Organization. These categories reflect the diversity of community engagement and encourage individuals and organizations to present initiatives and experiences that deliver a tangible impact on society.
Cash prizes are allocated across the tracks according to the target participant groups. Prizes for the Municipal Volunteering track total SAR 160,000, while prizes for each of the Community Initiatives and Cultural Participation tracks range from SAR 80,000 to SAR 160,000, depending on the categories of participating entities and organizations. An additional SAR 50,000 is allocated to the Exemplary Citizen track.
The total prize pool is capped at SAR 530,000, supporting the award’s objectives of recognizing community contributions and encouraging practices and initiatives that enhance quality of life in Riyadh.
The Municipality invited those interested in participating to submit their initiatives and experiences and complete the registration requirements through the award’s website by October 12, 2026.
