His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, met today with Geordin Hill-Lewis, Mayor of Cape Town, South Africa, to explore opportunities for cooperation between Riyadh and Cape Town.
At the outset of the meeting, His Highness welcomed the Mayor of Cape Town on his first visit to Riyadh. The meeting highlighted the transformation underway in the Saudi capital, its achievements and major projects, including the Riyadh Metro, Expo 2030 Riyadh, the Green Riyadh project, and water network projects, as well as Riyadh’s targets for 2030.
For his part, the Mayor of Cape Town expressed his admiration for the major projects he had seen in Riyadh. He also presented Cape Town’s experience in water resource management and urban transport, alongside the city’s administrative and regulatory governance framework.
The two sides also discussed ways to exchange expertise and best practices to strengthen cooperation between the two cities.
