Riyadh Municipality welcomed more than 65,000 citizens and residents who supported the Saudi national team throughout its participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This was part of the “The World Cup Is Closer to You” initiative launched by Riyadh Municipality to provide fully equipped venues for watching World Cup matches.
The viewing locations included My City Offices and Riyadh Oases in the capital, in addition to public parks, municipal theaters, celebration squares, and hospitality venues across the governorates and administrative centers of the Riyadh Region. These sites were prepared to welcome spectators and support the Green Falcons during their three matches.
The initiative’s venues witnessed strong attendance and remarkable engagement from visitors, creating vibrant fan atmospheres that reflected the public’s passion for sports and enthusiasm for following the national team’s matches. The initiative also contributed to encouraging neighborhood residents to support the Saudi national team and express their pride, encouragement, and solidarity during its participation in the global sporting event.
