The Riyadh Municipality has launched a series of community events and activities across its “Madinty” Offices located throughout various neighborhoods of the capital. The initiative comes as part of the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program, which aims to enhance direct engagement with residents and visitors of Riyadh.

The activities, which began alongside the official launch of the offices, are designed to foster active interaction with neighborhood residents through ten consecutive days of events that include workshops, discussion sessions, and interactive initiatives targeting different age groups. Among these activities are a children’s art and coloring workshop titled “My Beautiful City”, a hand embroidery workshop for women with an exhibition space to display their creations, and a kite-making workshop for families. Additionally, the “Inspiring Stories” initiative invites creative women to share their experiences, while a youth discussion session titled “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Neighborhoods” encourages innovation and supports local small businesses. The Municipality also organizes a “Community Breakfast” event for senior citizens, both men and women, across all offices, to strengthen human and social bonds and foster a spirit of neighborliness and cooperation among residents.

The Municipality has prepared a comprehensive and welcoming environment within each office, including reception and hospitality areas, information halls about municipal services, and dedicated community interaction zones. Visitors are also offered guided tours to introduce them to local facilities and neighborhood projects, helping them better understand available services and communication channels with the Municipality.

The Municipality envisions the “Madinty” Offices as permanent interactive platforms that serve as incubators for community, social, and volunteer initiatives reflecting values of participation and civic responsibility.

These community activities form a key component of the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program, which seeks to engage citizens in improving neighborhood environments and strengthening their role in shaping the city’s development.
