The first Saudi Urban Development forum discussing the requirements of tomorrow's cities
Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Riyadh city is witnessing the events of «First Saudi Urban Forum», organized by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and will continue for 3 days (20 - 22-6-1437) at King Faisal Conference Hall at the Intercontinental Hotel .. and during the events of the Forum it will be held 9 sessions, which have 36 paper presented ,lecture, and three workshops. it presented in the Forum international experiences in urban development and sustain development in cities.
The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Eng. Abdullatif bin Abdulmalik Al Sheikh has praised the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the Forum's activities and said that this is a confirmation of the leadership interest for driving overall development, and its response to the aspirations of the citizens in developmental growth that meets the needs, pointing out that the forum deals with urban development issues in totality and its details, stressing that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs is keen to increase the competitiveness of cities, and the creation of sustainable cities by raising the efficiency of the services, and improving the ways and methods of urban planning and development of qualified staff to embrace innovative ideas and modern planning and management of the provision of municipal services and solutions.
Al-Sheikh stressed that the forum including its work papers and interviews, will form an addition to the quality of urban development thinking, and the development of cities and enhance their efficiency to keep up with the times.
