Riyadh Municipality provides guidance plates that facilitate access to cattle markets and slaughterhouses
Riyadh Municipality has spread hundreds of guidance plates on highways, intersections and bridges to identify the sites of cattle markets or slaughterhouses, whether fixed or temporary sites.
Dr. Falah bin Abdullah Al Dossary, Director General of the General Department of Environmental Health, supervising the seasonal program of Adahi, said that the Riyadh Municipality is keen to make guidance plates clear, in bright colors, and simplified, showing the arrows on the sites.
He cleared that there are 3 major fixed livestock markets, and 10 temporary markets in Riyadh during the Adahi season, as well as 7 permanent slaughterhouses and 5 temporary slaughterhouses in a number of districts.
Riyadh Municipality supports this process by identifying the locations of markets and slaughterhouses on all publications and advertisements related to Eid Al-Adha program and media campaigns carried out during the season.
